That's a bit disappointing. I know the artist(author?) had a piece of yuri art with these two kicking around and I had hoped that had worked its way into the show a bit more.

There's official art with lots of subtext, and some production staff even go as far as publishing bits of yuri fanart as personal pieces. But lesbian romance (or romance of any kind) isn't a focus of the series, at least according to the Word of God.

It's so evident everyone watches RWBY that no longer does anyone mind two spoilers in the picture without the tag. With only 2 episodes left, the season might also end with a cliffhanger... It would be fitting.

Visually, Tewi's pushing close to loli. In-universe, Udonge is the youngest there by..what, centuries? It makes situations like this pretty interesting.
