Nora, I think it's true that Seju wants to move forward (regardless of what had happened between them). This scene also made me think about a scene a few chapters before this (chapter 54) when Sumin said she loves Sungji but added "then what am I supposed to do if I want to go back to you", to which Seju replied "Then all you have to do is just come back to me" which ties in nicely with what you said about how Seju " doesn't care about what happened in the past 10 years and won't avenge Sumin for it".
yes true.. thank you very much. Orange, thank you for adding a depth into it.
Sumin is making presumptions that Seju also wants to go back (by the word "**back**" I am taking this literally to mean in the past), in this case:
- To me, what is interesting here is then: to which timepoint in the past Sumin wants to go back to and to which time point in the past she thinks Seju wants to go back to?
this part is also puzzling me as well.. which point in the "past" was Sumin talking about. All the points of time that you mentioned are possible candidates to what Sumin might've meant.
If we know the answers to both, they would be very telling.
EXACTLY !
I wonder if Seju really thinks hiring Sungji was a mistake (just that at the point she hired Sungji she thought it was the right decision)...I wonder if this is also what Seju was referring to when she said "You don't know. That's why it's called a mistake"..as if also to say that some things may be fated/ is inevitable..because even when you think you think you are doing the right thing, that may end up being the wrong thing and by the time you realise this, it had already happened..(in fact, maybe it even needed to happen before you can realise it)..
About hiring Sungji was a mistake.. Seju really wanted Sumin to move on with someone good and nice, as it was proven how Sumin is a bad judge of personalities. Later on, in ch27 flashback (ch55), Seju went to provoke "warn" Sungji and her reasoning was "because I pity you".. there is a truth in this sentence, Seju witnessed +30 break ups and saw many girls like Sungji.. she knew or expected how it will go.. and thus was her warning to Sungji to not fall too deeply, very honest and sincere. Notice, Seju let the couple be all of the second season.. Seju didn't advance a move, till finally Sumin ruined the whole plan by her confession to Seju " and I love you too".. now, this is a story changing line, they can not go back from this point on.. and the whole game changes. Sumin can not return to be a friend with benefit anymore.. and Seju, who loved Sumin so much, has the right and motive (responsibility even) to reclaim Sumin instead. and thus in ch57 "I am going to get you back".
Was it a mistake really to hire Sungji?.. yes and no. Morally, there is a risk of hurting Sungji in the process, but then even Sungji in ch51 said that it was "her choice" even if she got hurt (http://imgur.com/a/4ZiR7) .. and also, without hiring Sungji, probably all of the three would've missed valuable lessons, including Sungji.

I reread some of Dawoon's parts and the dynamics are extremely similar... If Team Gaji actually does tie it into the ending, then bravo to them.

Very possible. I see Sungji as maybe the "last ex." The last one to finally break the cycle that they had going for the past 10 years. It was thought by many that she would be the last, final girlfriend of Sumin, but that seems less likely at this point.

mpgpeg, would you please explain what you mean by this part?

this part is interesting, what Sungji saw and heard is nothing like what any of other Sumin's ex's saw and heard.
Sangmi, the Lawyer, assumed that Sumin is an empty shell.. Sungji now understands that this is not the fact, Sumin is drained from a love that she can't give or receive, as what Seju would explain. AND, Sungji is the only one to realise Sumin's baggage not only that, but Seju's as well. Her relationship with Dawoon, and Dawoon to Camille connects many dots for her and adds perspective. Truly interesting !
again, do you see how Sangmi is a darker version of Sungji somewhat. AND she is one of the most important girls in Sumin's life along side Ms. Choi who is the darker version of Seju.

Probably all has been already said here, but in chapter 60 where Camille says, "I guess you didn't love me" can be arguably seen as a foreshadow of the ending, if a similar thing is said by Sungji.
Also, during the Dawoon and Camille flashback where Dawoon says "The one I like right now is you." Did Sumin ever say something along those lines? Their sex scene in chapter 85 shows the love isn't as deep, but again, that differs on perception. Either way, the parallelism is very apparent, as you noted earlier. Dawoon and Sungji were childhood friends, Dawoon never stopped loving Sungji (although their bond is not nearly as deep, since they were never in a relationship), and the fact that Sungji is essentially Seju in their dynamic.
Her relationship with Dawoon, and Dawoon to Camille connects many dots for her and adds perspective. Truly interesting !
Yes, to me, Dawoon does not necessarily need to make another appearance, it's all about Sungji's realization.

To be honest, I would have to go through the chapters again to find Sangmi's moments, when I do that, I might see it.
But Ms. Choi can be definitely seen the darker Seju as she was the one who actually got a fiance and was married (if I'm not mistaken), while Seju has seen many potential marriage partners and she never went further with any of them, as she would not marry unless it was to Sumin.

@Ken
Well I am not gone yet. Lol. You really wanna know? Ah sorry I am so emotional. well.. Libra lol. Its okay. I can tell you here if you want. Hurricane ken looolllllll. Nice. Psstt dont tell my crush.
You don't need to tell me, Ken. Thanks.

hehe.. you asked me that before.. you know the answer I guess XD
To be honest, I would have to go through the chapters again to find Sangmi's moments, when I do that, I might see it.
I'll make it easier to you:
ch4, relationship mechanism
ch23, Sumin's careful approach and more about the relationship mechanism.
ch50, well.. that's a famous one.. very clear mental resemblance between the two in Sumin's mind
while Seju has seen many potential marriage partners and she never went further with any of them, as she would not marry unless it was to Sumin.
not only that.. Ms. Choi's husband has beaten Sumin and she married him regardless.. Seju on the other hand, slapped Saehyun and threatened him if he ever tried to hurt Sumin again. ch63
also, Ms. Choi is okay with sharing Sumin and be shared as long as she would be by her side ch32. This is not the case with Seju.
I will requote this from our hair color symbolism discussion:
pink tones down the physical passion from the red color and replaces it with a gentle and loving energy.

Ken is always right. LoL xD Okay, bye Sia.
Always right your ass.

hehe.. you asked me that before.. you know the answer I guess XD
Haha, yeah, all it took was for me to read it again. I think if anyone does, they will be able to see the parallelism.
ch50, well.. that's a famous one.. very clear mental resemblance between the two in Sumin's mind
It's also very telling that Ms. Choi and Sangmi were the only two exes that appeared in Sumin's inner monologue at the end of that chapter.
also, Ms. Choi is okay with sharing Sumin and be shared as long as she would be by her side ch32. This is not the case with Seju.
All the discussions are really coming together now. XD As I said before, I was only really holding out on rereading everything from beginning to end because the ending has yet to be revealed. I have read select chapters multiple times though, but one is mainly able to connect everything when it is read chronicalogically. Depending on the person, it does not take a stretch of the imagination to come to the conclusions you and several others have. Basically, the train of thought is logical.

heheh.. correct!
but one is mainly able to connect everything when it is read chronologically.
not necessarily, I think you will have to read it as jigsaw puzzle as what Foxy lady would describe it.
for example: the flashback in ch33 (that shows Sumin's bruises) happened before Sumin went to Seju's house drunk and beaten in ch45.. but to get the full image you have to know both parts. If you need elaboration in this part, let me know.
not necessarily, I think you will have to read it as jigsaw puzzle as what Foxy lady would describe it.
Another one is 27 and 55. I love how Gaji did this...how everything is not always linear...
The concept of hindsight..you won't know until later when you look back..even though it has already happened..
a twist if sumin wants to go back from when before she is falling in love with sungji, lmao.... last chapter, sumin has admitted what she has done wrong to seju, but she can't take responsibility (since she has sungji now) It won't be this complicated if there is no third person. What sumin did now is feeling apologize for both of the girls
That's also a possibility XD..although I think Sumin falling for Sungji was what she truly needed at the time. It was good for her. Ironically, without it, Sumin probably won't even have that conversation with Seju..
That's the irony for sure, especially after sungji refuse to let it go too. Only If sungji purpose is to make seju and sumin relationship a chance... but what if not the case?
I think if TG is a player, she can be an amusing one, giving both side a hope and hanging the feeling, maintain both sides happy until the last grip. Lmao
Out of town for a few days and things seem to be heated in the forum xDDDDDD

sometimes I wonder what you want exactly from Seju!
you dont want her loving someone else, moving on or ending up with Sumin XD.. good God, yoonie what do you want her to do XDDD
I dont know what I want her to do either, lolll xDDDDDD. Or maybe I just want her to be mine only xDDDDD.
To be honest, Seju's ending and Sumin's ending make me feel quite conflicted for some reasons xDDD (I'm talking about this with the current events without assumptions and predictions xD)
- Seju moving on with someone else ending: hmmm, if it happened sooner, I might not feel... betrayed by the author compare to if it happened now. For almost the whole series, the author has specifically describes how much and how deeply Seju has been in love with Sumin for better or for worse, much in detail and emphasis. Then suddenly, we have her move on and ready to love someone else in a matter of few chaps => betrayal is an underestimation and plotting failure is the word that should be used for wdtfs xDDDDDD.
- Sumin and Seju as ending couple: hmmmm, with a healing theme, this ending couple with Sumin being fine with leaving Sungji behind and without thinking or being bothered by love and guilt for Sungji, its super hard. We cant have a half-ass healing like one day Sungji left then right next day Sumin ran back to Seju. I absolutely wont like that ending even though Seju is happy in the end. So how can they make this kind of ending without making Sumin an absolute jerk for jumping from this girl to that girl in a few chaps(aka in a matter of days in manhwa time), not emotionally but physically, yesterday you dated this girl, next day you date another one? No, I dont like them to make Sumin a jerk for an ending. To make SejuxSumin an ending, its not impossible but hard as heck with this pace of the story and Sungji.
- Sumin with no one as the ending: not sure how this can be called healing and back to no1 ending's case where Seju also moving on.
Well, Sungji with or without Sumin in the end is totally possible, which is nice since her case is quite dynamic, you could put her ending any way you want according to the story's process and its easy to accept her ending but not so sure for the other two, they have some certain criteria to meet in the end so not to make their ending a half ass one
I think if TG is a player, she can be an amusing one, giving both side a hope and hanging the feeling, maintain both sides happy until the last grip. Lmao
Hmmm, I dont think that's the case. Just like push and pull game, if you go overboard, it might lose its special point xDDD. She could be playing with both sides but I dont think she does it to leave both sides hanging till the last drop. The story would be totally ruined at some point if she only aimed for playing with readers' felling till the last. I dont think TG is that kind of author, she loves her work and I dont think they build the plot that recklessly, what she is doing right now might be feeling like playing with both sides to make readers interested but I believe it built for sth we havent got to see yet xDDDD, sth very logic and very "ah ha" moment the day it is revealed, like, "oh, all of this are necessary, the playing and teasing =)))))"

Or TG can use a classic kdrama technique: hit by a car and lose memory. Effect on Seju, forget it all and move on. Effect on sumin, she slowly remembers how much she loves Seju XD

hehe.. but Sumin broke up with a girl while eating her out and immediately jumped to Seju's bed.. ch50.. also, she gave in for sex in ch55 WHILE dating Sungji.. so this part shouldn't be much of your worries XD (oh wait, didn't Sumin cut off the sex session with Sungji in ch81 to pick Seju up XD)
To make SejuxSumin an ending, its not impossible but hard as heck with this pace of the story and Sungji.
Sungji has all the needed pieces of the puzzle
Sumin, not yet
Nammi's appearance is to ensure the following:
1- she knows about the current arrangement and situation
2- she knows about everybody's feelings
3- she is no longer interested in Seju (getting public and serious about Bang Uri) and Seju is clearly annoyed by Nammi's presence
4- making sure that readers who didn't realise that the doctor in ch38 is in fact Nammi's father are now aware of this info clearly! (he is a surgeon and probably the one who was there when Sumin first got her scars)
connecting the dots is as usual, Nammi's job.. ch16, ch19, ch49, ch65 (and ch50 at least in Sumin's mind)
Nora89
but to get the full image you have to know both parts. If you need elaboration in this part, let me know.
You're right, I guess what I meant to say was that if you just select certain chapters, you end up missing others and the parts of the jigsaw puzzle they contain. Does that make sense? XD
mpgpeg, hehehe.. makes perfect sense.. hehehe I meant elaboration about ch45.. the scene in ch33 flashback took place before Sumin went drunk to Seju's house in ch45.. I thought that this information is beneficial.
Nora89
Did it have to do with Ms. Choi's fiance?
Sungji really does not know much about Sumin at all... Sumin does not tell her much.
mpgpeg not that what I meant.. I was meaning to address the chronological order of some incidents..even if the order seems a bit confusing.. so I was mentioning that Sumin was beaten up by Dangouk, went to the redhead's house to talk it out.. broke up.. got drunk..then went to Seju's house as we saw in ch45.
Nora89
Oh, I see. Yeah, it makes sense. :)

may I ask you about the source ?
Yeah, I see it on Lezhin.
This is my perspective on chapter 50.
With all the girls before Sungji, Sumin was an empty shell without the anima needed to make them work.
Sumin realising that a part of her still loves Seju is her realising that she is not just an empty shell. That realisation also leads her to know that part of her is in love with Sungji as well. Which puts her in a dilemma.
This leads to the whole "it's different" part. This situation with Sungji & Seju is different from the others before. Sungji isn't the one to hold her as an empty shell because Sumin isn't an empty shell, she can feel love it was just buried so deep in her psyche under all her mental baggage.
Of course after that she fucks it up by fooling around with Seju. But the aftermath after she cheats on Sungji itself is still different.
Anyway that's just my perspective written on my phone so it's probably not very articulate like the top commenters on here.

hello, Es0tric
With all the girls before Sungji, Sumin was an empty shell without the anima needed to make them work.
in ch27, Seju explained the truth behind this point, Sumin was never an empty shell.. but was drained from a love that she couldn't give or receive
in ch50, this point was once more confirmed by Sumin's realisation
http://imgur.com/a/EE2HD
This leads to the whole "it's different" part. This situation with Sungji & Seju is different from the others before.
true.. Sungji is the only one of Sumin's ex's that realises the baggage.. and saw many pieces of the puzzle that Sangmi wasn't able to see.
Sungji's position in the story, specially the third arc, is really interesting
