I wouldn't say Mami is the the worst character but she by far is the most irrelevant and least interesting. It kiillllllssss me that the next movie is about her.

I'd say Nagisa is least relevant. She's just kinda there for no real reason. And the only purpose she seems to even serve is to put Homura and Mami into conflict. Mami's worse because she's the source of a lot of problems for Homura during the series and continues to be a problem during the movie. Sayaka, on the other hand, was a problem during the series but not so bad during the movie. Kyoko's fine though and Madoka, other than the fact she always seems to focus on everyone that isn't Homura, is mostly fine as well.
