In the most recent chapter of Yuri na Watashi to Akuma na Kanojo, uh, something interesting happened crossdressing boy became a girl
And regardless of whether mc likes guys or not, even if she does because she's traumatized, it doesn't mean that not liking guys would have made her like girls, which she totally does (she's talking to a new character with big boobs at one point and she's just drooling and breathing heavily the entire time) Basically she could be bi, with the options of guys becoming a turn off to her after what happened in her childhood, but her attraction to girls is still very obvious. (The lame, overused excuse of being traumatized by men has been used a lot in shoujo actually, and even then, it's not like those girls decided to "switch teams")

Surprisingly, as much as I dislike the plot as some way to set up/force a lesbian to make out with a guy (she's practically into him because he makes such a cute girl anyway), thus lesbian fanservice BUT still getting to keep it het, the recent chapters has brought up more yuri actually :OO
Two more girls have been introduced, and from weird turns of events, one is crushing on mc and mc has kissed both of them. I wouldn't mind if this actually became some kind of harem for mc

I'm not sure if the next chapter will be finale after Mikoto turned into a girl.

The question is. Is it any good?

Art is really good but story is kinda meh. Oh but there is 'Lots of Kissing' and it is fun to read. I think story will start now, if it ends now it will be another emtpy series nothing happens until final chapter.

I'm thinking that it'll end in het.

Because she's supposedly his destined girl who will save him and I can't see how forcefully becoming a full fledged girl amounts to save him

So, probably an absurd thing like "power of love who will turn him back or something. Mikoto has been an asshole to MC for most of the series but it seems like it will be something like "I love you regardless of the gender of your body. Let's make babies".

My hopes aren't very high, you'll notice. Better call it now rather than be disappointed later.

Same, I'm thinking the author is gonna make it het no matter what, but I'm surprised they actually made Mikoto a girl. I was part of those that would have preferred for Mikoto to be a girl, but then when he turned, I realised that I didn't want him to be FORCED to become one. Because even if he's physically female now, doesn't change that he identifies as a boy and never showed signs of wanting to become a girl. (For instance, if Kashimashi had Hazumu identify as a boy, it wouldn't be yuri, and would have become a whole different other story)

I'm not keeping my hopes up, I've dreaded this series ever since the beginning and knew that the author was likely gonna force it and use the bullshit development of "I love him whatever his gender is" (which is weak as hell because mc barely tolerates him because he looks like a cute af girl and is her type. Had he looked like a boy, mc would had gotten tf out 6 pages into the first chapter) would have honestly made more sense to make Mikoto become a boy ("cure him or whatever tf he needs") and actually bond with mc without being an asshole/ go full het rather than continue this fake yuri charade

But yeah. I'm more here to comment on how it doesn't really make sense anymore for a het plot, it's just weird af now. You know the author is likely aiming for a het end, but then dished out two more gay ass girls into it. Idk wtf they're trying to do, but they're going through really complicated means. I'm so surprised and confused. might as well stop reading now and pretend that Mikoto is chill and they live happily ever as girls

Art is nice but the entire premise is how a lesbian (who can't stand/fear men, dunno if the trauma is treated as the cause of liking girls or she just likes girls and happen to have come to fear men) is forced to make out daily with a crossdressing boy because of asdfg circumstances, and mc has to deal with it because she had a crush on his female persona and still kinda has a soft spot for him as a girl

Reading the 2 first and only chapters at the time really irritated me tbh, it was pretty fucked up. I kept reading when I saw there were more chapters cus well, art is nice, I don't hate mc and well, I just wanted to see how it ends, where the author wanted to go with this.
I also found it interesting that the author had only written shoujo before and suddenly went with... this.

I was about to write same thing, but I think they meant swept more like "taken against her will and forced to play along with him" I don't think they meant "lesbian gets charmed by a trap, even if it is a boy". Then again they do call it lovecom so maybe they totally were going for "even if you are lesbian you can still fall for cute boy" or some crap like that.

And it shows cos plot is written exactly like every single shoujo out there. It is typical, my 1 destined person, that I met in my childhood and want to meet again in the future, turns out to be a asshole but then turns out to be actually nice/likes me from the start and I find that I still like him so in the end we will end up together after overcoming all obstacles. From first 2 chapters (after which I dropped it) it was clear he will stay boy/get back to being boy at the end and they will live happily ever after <3 (R.I.P yuri)
