This is totally true to the anime, actually. After the field trip they had several scenes exactly like this. I don't see anything cute or relationship-oriented in this image, however. Yoshida straight-up bullies Tomoko, whose main sin is being socially awkward. Not sure why anyone would 'ship them. Also not sure why Yoshida can claim not to be a yankee/gyaru. Or why anyone would like Yoshida.

Yes, I see them both blushing, but the rest of the image is true to their actual representation in the anime, which isn't even remotely romantic or lustful. Unless Tomoko is an outright masochist, which I doubt she is.

In real life, someone sometime would have noticed the mute, disturbed girl was getting beaten up and separated Yoshida and Tomoko. And no one would have approved of that having gone on. And even in Japan, Tomoko would be on meds by now, so I guess suspend disbelief. Yoshida's "good reason" for beating up Tomoko is that Tomoko touched her inappropriately accidentally while trying to wake her up. She was trying to be nice.

Tomoko is the bully to Yoshida though. Yoshida just tries to mind her own business and Tomoko is a dick to her. I find it hard to find how someone could see Tomoko as the good one between them.
