There's also some yuri one shots by this author in an anthology called Happy Go Lucky Days (scene 5 and scene 9) for anyone who's interested. Both are pretty good and the collection is decent overall, if not somewhat melancholic, but it doesn't have any school setting stories which is nice.

So happy to see more yuri from this artist, I'm in love with their art and writing style, just... AHHGR

Aside from Shimura and Takako’s yuri manga Sweet Blue Flowers back in 2009, it looks like another one of her works will get an anime adaptation. Scenes from Awajima is set to receive an anime next spring. How lovely :) I remember reading this manga a few years ago, and I think turning it into an anime will make it even more beautiful.

Honestly won't trust anyone not being transphobic unless they made it clear at some point.

I came here ready to praise Takako for having so many of her manga adapted into anime, but damn… finding out she’s transphobic is really disappointing. And honestly, the same goes for J. K. Rowling, having one massively successful book series doesn’t give anyone the right or the privilege to openly spread hateful rhetoric toward trans people. It’s frustrating to see influential figures use their platform this way. I doubt she’s even taken the time to genuinely understand trans experiences, yet she continues pushing harmful narratives. What a fucking bitch.
