Personally, I always found the scenes between Eiko and the teacher to be off putting at best. What drove the show for me was Hana and Tama, not even just as a couple (although that too), but their personalities and dynamics within and outside of the group. Two of the most memorable scenes for me were when Hana acted like she was going to be independent and then turned around and asked her cousin to walk her through the specific social interaction (because it was both funny and actually pretty relatable), and also the scene where Hana and Tama sit on the kitchen floor and talk during their sleepover.
Anyways, that was a pretty long and pointless digression. To be more on topic, I liked this. Although it was short, it felt like a very grounded analysis/interpretation of the characters.
