It seems like Natsuko is starting to really crush on Haruko now, if the blushing and heart thumping are any indication.

This can actually be pretty relaxing if you do it outside of just a sexual context.

Gamma. Could have been an absolute masterpiece of a manga, but a good third or even half of the story got skimmed over. The result is a travesty of an ending.

This was an effectively sad chapter. Neeko will definitely relapse many times on her path of self-improvement, but we must have faith in her despite that.

At this point it's clear the uploader needs more experience with Japanese to English translation, and how scanlations are normally done. (as literally as possible while still reading naturally) That said, I enjoyed it and I don't think it was anywhere near as bad as people have said. Some definite problems and mistakes, but fanfiction? Devoid of taste or a feel for the English language? I don't think so. It's actually quite similar to how the Ace Attorney series of games is translated, with jokes and slang added in.

I really liked the translation. A lot of young people use international slang for fun when talking to themselves. At least I do.

I think Shaft's take on this would be fascinating. We already have characters with unsettling personality quirks and flaws, Shaft's creative visual direction could make it even more special than the manga. The Monogatari series's problems are rooted in the novels.

Sincerity on the internet is very hard to judge, and if I’ve been trolled I can only say, “Well played,” but that one person did seem to be very sincerely miffed that the story did not meet certain personal criteria for romance, yuri, and narrative closure.

It’s true that Mimika’s libido has been locked and loaded from the very beginning, but I don’t think even Chekhov himself would need to actually see the trigger get pulled to be satisfied that it’s eventually going to go off, offstage, at an appropriate time and place.

I think the user in question got banned not too long ago for trolling too much, and now opts for a more balanced mix of trolling and sincere commentary.

I'm really uncertain how people are calling this subtext when both characters acknowledged their love for each other, they're only waiting till Yuzumori is old enough to kiss and so fourth. That said I'd really like an epilogue with them like 10 years in the future and a kiss. Maybe a kiss at a marriage ceremony, but I might be getting greedy.

Exactly one person called this subtext, and I really hope they weren't being sincere.

Lately the scan sizes have gotten pretty out of hand, IMO. I dont know why you'd need scans that huge on a desktop but its definitely murder on mobile devices. Even on wifi each page loads at what seems like dial-up speeds and that can't be good for your bandwidth to serve such huge files that, lets face it, 90% of users are going to look at for a few seconds and click next.

Anyway, thats my long-winded way of asking if we can improve this - maybe keep the gargantuan resolution files to the chapter downloads, or have the resize button pull a smaller version of the file instead of DLing the whole thing and having the browser do the resize?

Are there some releases in particular that you're having issues with?

For me almost every manga on the site started to load significantly slower in the last month, though it's gotten a little better this week. In particular, each page of 1 x 1/2 chapter 7 takes several minutes to finish loading. This is on desktop with fast Wi-Fi.

My comment had nothing to do with what the point of romance stories is. I was praising how the character's love was presented.

You said that the author respected the characters privacy, there is no respect of privacy in a romance story. The whole point is getting to see their most private of life events.

That may be what you personally enjoy in romance, but ultimately the genre is about showing romantic love. How intimately the story delves into the characters' private moments is at the author's total discretion. For instance it's very common to leave the characters' having sex up to the reader's imagination.

33 chapters and no kiss isn't fine. For all we know they never actually got together after Yuzumori grew up and realized that she wasn't gay after all.

I mean if that's what you got out of the ending it's fine to interpret it that way. I think their love is on the right track personally. Even though Yuzumori is growing and changing in looks and personality over time, Mimika still loves her. That counts for more than any kiss.

I would be extremely apprehensive if we ended up getting an adaptation with the same studio as Citrus. Do the people who watched Citrus not have functioning eyes? Not even the OP managed to have decently, DECENTLY, animated kisses, one of the elements that is supposed to be portrayed as intense. OST? Forgettable. ED? Ah yes, the good old plain song slapped with a few slideshows, good job. Do we also have to go on about how Mei looked off in more than half of the frames the was in? This is not even subjective. Having enjoyed it is one thing, pretending sloppy looking visuals are nice is an entirely different level of lying to oneself. Anything but DEEN and Passione, thanks.

The kisses weren't unusually bad, they were just... normal low budget anime kisses. For a manga with intense kissing scenes that could be even better animated, it was very disappointing and a sad missed opportunity. It's like a shonen anime adaptation with brief, choppy fighting scenes.

Heard this show isn't very good and has harem elements. The bait won't work on me this time.

Nice series. Decision to not have them kiss was interesting, but probably for the best. Yuzumori-san tackled a controversial subject, and unlike Kodomo no Jikan, managed to handle it and finish it with taste and tact.

Frankly I'm not sure if Reina even ended up the right lesbian anyhow. Maybe Asuka was the chosen one all along.
