Yea we saw a lot of development between Kumiko and Asuka while Reina admitted her love to Taki-sensei in the second seasson.

Asuka was supposed to be the chosen one all along that's why she was so involved in the story and we even had hers added in the second season. Reina was a trap.

Asuka was the stealth option. There all along, but mostly in the shadow of Reina. Way better, though. Need more art of this pair.
