Also, even though the player Commander is canonically male (I don't call them the MC, because I feel like that title belongs to Rapi), there are canon female commanders in NIKKE (unlike Azur Lane or GFL2, the player is one of several commanders), so there's really nothing stopping you from headcanoning a NIKKE with a female one (except some rabid fanboys, but fuck them with a rusty pipe).

No, what happened is that Zeno were breeding and experimenting on arcane critters. Jessica was born from one such experiment, a hybrid of a Changeling and an Irish deer-woman. Later Zeno abandoned the project and left, leaving the critters behind. That's when Jessica met Blonney.

Others fantasize about lovers whose affection is as unconditional as it is absolute (i.e. your yandere will never leave or cheat on you). Certain people actually project themselves on the yandere, maybe because of personal dark intents, maybe because the feeling of overflowing with love is very relatable. And then there's the "if evil, why hot?" crowd...

Plenty of reasons to enjoy yandere, and all are based to be honest.
