Yeah there's no light novel, it's an entirely complete manga. Also the ending does give a bit of general context as to where the party goes from there. As for romance it's something that the story doesn't focus on. It's a great manga from start to end in my opinion, and if you've only read the very end and the bath scene out of context, I'd say to give the whole manga a read.
