The author of this doujin is a massive stoner, makes a lot of stuff about Touhou characters doing drugs like one where Marisa and Nitori learn how to grow weed in very specific detail. I've even seen someone get really offended because he got in an official Touhou product when he did an illustration for Alternative Facts in Eastern Utopia.

It's possible since some laws there are pretty new, i don't think Japan have legislation on ayahuasca since its a pretty niche thing, but things like mushrooms were legal up to 2002
