This was an incredibly strong premise for a good story. And yet it's a one-shot...I wonder if it would be possible to get this serialized?

I think it works as a one-shot, though it's probably a feeler one-shot. If lots of readers in Japan praise it, it could become a short series. A great deal happens in a short time.
