If the most recent chapters are anything to go by, they can probably reconcile as Lunarians, since Dia isn't defined by her combat worth and Bort can garden in peace without worrying about the war. Though I doubt Ichikawa would allow us such happiness unless it came packaged with an extra heaping of misery.
