Hm not sure how long this relationship will last longterm if Ayumi truly wants Kei to get some sort of job (like at least a part time job). I dunno, that last panel of Kei being all nonchalant and waving off the suggestion kinda irked me.
I don't think Ayumi actually wants Kie to get a job, it seems like something that could be an inside joke for them. I get what you mean though. I also didn't like the line "you said you liked girls, so I figured I could do whatever". What the hell is that?
I know this isn't what the story is about, but I found it interesting to think about how Kie could have been a master manipulator. She's found herself without a house and happens upon a woman who would pick up a stranger off the street and bring her home. She's told that Ayumi likes women, so she sort of flirts with her, while at the same time using her as her source of income. And in the end she gets exactly what she wanted, a house and a person providing for her. The only part that maybe doesn't fit is that she immediately left when she overheard Ayumi on the phone, since she could have ignored it and try to extend her stay for as long as possible. Still, it was fun to think about.
