As far as I remember, first time I've read about this ship.
There really is nothing in the manga that hints at romance 'tween them.

Last time I checked, the readers' poll put Sakurako x Himawari in 1st place as favorite ship, then Chinatsu x Akari (which I find hilarious).
Kyouko's votes were divided roughly half for Kyouko x Yui and half for Kyouko x Ayano. If you added them, Kyouko x [whatevership] would be 1st place.
This was some time ago tho, maybe results have changed since then.
