They don't have the chemistry a lot of other pairings do, but thanks to the magic of Love Live they still work.

Eli x Nico is an interesting ship.
I don't recall those two interacting much in the anime, but from the official Love Live manga they were pretty close (though not as much as Eli with Nozomi) and in the SID manga Eli really does care a lot for Nico.
I like this ship too.

Although they don't feel out of character per se, with some visual tweaks they might as well be original characters starting a new series. Uhhh, that's not me saying I didn't enjoy this as a NicoxEli story, though.

I really like this artist's style. It's a good mix of retro with modern tweaks.
