I think it's funny people keep saying "no one is forcing you to read" or "if you don't like it leaves" because it leaves no room for discussion for any subject if you just live in an echo chamber and everybody just listen to what they want to hear.
I personally like age-gap and loli is ok to me because there's a difference between reality and fiction, but if someone make a comment about some disturbing stuff that seems to reflect on to their actual belief I think it's alright to criticize it.

The issue is, more often than not, it is people who think loli=real pedophilia who ignores any discussion or defense and specifically read it to get offended and then come to forum and call everyone who even remotely likes it a pedo who should be put into jail. We're not the ones living in echo chamber, so sorry for being tired from having to repeat the same thing over and over and being ignored every single time.

Well I don't really see people calling anyone a pedo for just reading loli on this thread (at the least) mostly it was just that comment that raise the red flag. There are social justice warriors around, but I don't think that their intention are meant to harm people intentionally and yea there are those that get real upset about it and point finger just because someone enjoy reading loli, those are the one that I would call out too if I see it.
I mean personally I don't agree with calling people a pedo just because they read loli or like loli, but I do understand where they come from since loli tends to be a depiction of young children and they believe that liking loli can make people like children. Kinda like how you can say most pedo are in someway into loli porn, but most people into loli aren't pedo. It's a correlation, but it's not the causation of course.

Well, I was only defending "don't like it, don't read it" and "nobody forces you to read it" comments, which imo are still valid, even if there is stuff to discuss. I agree this thread is reasonably civil (surprisingly) so far and most people got triggered about that comment, rather than content itself (though there were few with typical reaction, but at least without insulting anyone). If someone finds something offensive/controversial and wants to discuss it, then I have no problem with that. The issue starts when people read something only to write 1 angry comment about it and then never check thread again. In that case I do think they shouldn't read it in the first place, because it was clearly not meant for them. Sadly too many people on this forum does just that.
