I didn't think the ending was that bad. Sure, it was obviously rushed, but an attempt was made to resolve all the subplots and bring the story to a proper conclusion. Compared to the ones I listed, I feel Gamma was ended with relative grace.

You can't top this in terms of rushed ending, it was set up like a long running battle-shounen(with yuri).
Its truly a god among cancelled series,

You're right that it wasn't too bad really. I meant more that it could have been near perfect from top to bottom, and it ended up with a weak final part, which to me was super disappointing.

Absolutely agreed. Even still, Gamma ranks among my favorite manga of all time, and I'm holding on to the hope that one day it will get licensed in English.

That's one where it's hard to say whether it was just rushed or the author was going for a more avant-garde kind of thing with the ending.
