re-reading now that akumu no rakuen is being uploaded and it does make this story make a bit more sense now, at least the part about the queen feeling guilty.

However, my main takeaway is that servant lady is great and her relationship with the queen is wonderful. I'd just want her to be more of a sadist (the servant).

the afterword explains that the servant and queen don't have a traditional romantic relationship by any means, per se! not really my cup of tea, bc with the context provided, I would've liked more of an emotional aspect to their relationship.
