Should I remove my post? It was just genuine curiosity, not a flame bait, that comment piqued my interest, it was somewhat oddly composed. And since I actually ship anyone with everyone, it would be difficult for this to degenerate into a shipping war.

It's fine if they answer with some restraint. But if it goes to hell, the whole mess (including my comments) is going in the round file.

I do not believe Nico had any romantic feelings for Maki, those last pages would seem to indicate that it was Hanayo she was invested in.

I think either interpretation makes sense. Liking hanayo all along or wanting to move on together.

A question, though; the ruining of two popular ships in-universe (if one interprets it in such a way), why would that be an up-side?

adds drama, especially if the rebound theory is right.

on edit my final thought is in this doujin's world, at least from now on Nico and Hanayo will have a real bond.

This artist draws some excellent backgrounds. It made the atmosphere of the story so much more immersive.

Yeah, someone else pointed it out on that unrequited dj. I actually now see this in a different way. I at first thought this was just RinMaki dating with Hanayo feeling left out and Nico comforting her. Until I saw that chart and it changed everything.

You guys are complaining about the ending while there are many manga that end horribly and even some that don't finish at all
