This looks pretty normal tbh
I already started tuning most of SFX out while reading, and for translating it's often more of an issue that they represent super-specific actions for which there's no good English equivalent...

Not too far off, actually. I will say, however, that I find you get more out of the way they're written rather than what the utterance is, so in many cases, I'd rather keep a hastily scribbled or large jagged character than try to find a font that accurately represents what I just replaced.
