You know what amuses me most? Going back to the first page or two of comments, where everyone (including me) thought Becky was this predatory, possibly even yandere, character fully in control of the situation. What a difference to find out she was actually clueless and trying to navigate real-life romance as if it were a dating sim.

All things considered, I'm guessing she heard the Beatles song , rather than making the Manson connection.

I notice Takemiya Jin normally puts characters from other manga they've done in other manga and I saw the two characters at the very start are from "Sorry I'm Obsessed"
