Correction, she says "master" (the husband)

She wants to be the one the madam loves, that is why she would be jealous over the dead master. (She actually is the one madam loves, since there was never a "master"/husband).

At least that is what I understood, there doesn't seem to be any situation that requires deeper thinking. Just a rather funny situation.

This manga is like Tipping the Velvet, Fingersmith, Affinity and The Handmaiden all together, I really like it.
