@ZuljinRaynor Agreed, that album was so great. My favourite next to London Calling by The Clash

I'll be honest, back in my teenage years I never really followed Bowie. He was good and all, but not on my radar all that much beyond the songs everyone knows. If anything, I was into Rush, and The Police's earlier albums.

I wasn't much of a Bowie fan either, I've started to relisten to his music after his death. Legacy stays forever.

The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust is one of my favourite titles of albums, next to Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!

Europeans with poor English

Strange, I always thought Europeans have a better hold of the english language :o but at least they sound fantastic regardless ^ - ^

@Rina well, in comparison to people from the U.S. Unfortunately, only people that I've met on Steam from Asia were Russians with.. well, let's just say less than perfect manners and even worse English. Saying this as a partly Russian Russophile.

When it comes to Europeans, mostly people from Northern and Western parts have very good English. It's ridiculous how well, for instance, Swedes speak English.

@Galich hah, please, don't compare yourself to Rasputin xD and having a beard is nice...actually I haven't seen my father with a shaven beard for about 15 years xD
yes.. busses are a bother during the summer when people tend to sweat a lot... where I live we don't have trams... only busses xD
you are not annoying
maybe you just run into people who don't care how they speak and behave xD

it's refreshing to see some shy people around^^

@Blackkitty Alright, I do admit that comparing myself to Grigori Rasputin might not have been the best of ideas.. I am partly Russian after all. Well, my alterative was either Santa Claus or Karl Marx.. Guess I cannot come up with any sensible comparisons.

I plan on being buried with my beard, it's too precious to me V: The lenght my vary, but it shall prevail.

Yup, buses at the middle of the summer are spawn of the devil himself. I swear, people going sleeveless inside of buses should be banned from entering them.

We have a very good tram system, the worst frequency of lines is 1 tram per 20 minutes, some of the lines are once per 5 minutes. Kind of crazy.

Well, I'm always surprised at how I wasn't punched yet V: Especially after a few deadpan snarks at some people.. what can I say, I have hard time putting up with nonsense.

Some do say that cynism is my trademark and it's hard to imagine me being positive, I guess it's a positive thing. One thing I care about is being remembered by people, and I suppose that it really helps.

@Rina Well, living in a tourist city, we get plenty of Asians in here. Being honest, I'd much rather put up with a Russian that doesn't speak English than another drunk Briton.

From my experience, tourists from China etc. tend to try to speak English with varying results, unlike Czechs etc. Well, you get used to people constantly asking you about the closest road to the main market in languages that you don't speak quite quickly.

@Galich hah, well.. since you are partly Russian we could compromise with "Дед Мороз" xD
Totally agree on the ban!
oh, well, our busses are often irregular. I remember once waiting for 45 min... so i prefer walking xD
you are not punched because you are tall beardy man, probably xD hah, you will be remembered!!

btw, what is Steam? xD

@Blackkitty Now that's a compromise I can live with. Sure, my country may not be orthodox, but I've always liked him better than the old bastard from Lapland. Sorry Finland.

That, and a ban on old people smelling bad. Especially during the winter, when all of the windows are closed.

Walking is fine as long as you don't have to spend more than an hour getting downtown. Having lived in the outskirts of my town for so much, I gave up on such long walks, Then again, my city is so poluted that people are wearing masks during the winter.

Well, guess that my posture helps a bit. Glasses on the other hand..

I really hope that it will be the case, sticking out from the crowd has never bothered me. First got used to it, then I've slowly started liking it. Funnily enough, I can barely people I talk to in real life >.>

Steam's basically a platform for PC games in which you can add people online. Since I'm living in central/eastern Europe, I get thrown into games with plenty of Russians, hence my post.

You've mentioned in your previous post that it's nice to see shy people for once. What did ya mean?

@Galich my country is an orthodox one... but no one ever bothered to make me believe that either one of them really exists xD
they can't help it, so no ban for them!!
wow masks, sounds dangerous!..I guess your town is really big. how many people live in there?
hahh, you are so tall that they can't reach the glasses xD I believe people just get used to your special character^^
thanks! :) , so games... that's why I haven't heard about it before
I meant nothing really. the people I know IRL are usually not shy at all^^

@Anon I was wondering if you are alright because of everything happening in your country lately?

It's a pity that Harley Quinn keeps getting dragged further and further away from Paul Dini's original creation. There's little of the innocence the character had left, she seems largely reduced to "show a lot of skin and hurt things". I don't have a lot of trust for this director handling her well, given some of his comments about her and other aspects of the film. He seems about as in touch with the characters as the dude who did Batman vs Superman.

I've never been that big into DC so I don't know her like, original character and how it compares to the movie version but most reactions to the test screenings seem to indicate that Harley kind of makes the movie.

Dr Strange Hype > Suicide Squad Hype though

My hype right now is more about the Wonder Woman movie, the trailer was one of the best I've seen in ages.

Justice League seems from the trailer to have a somewhat better handle on the characters than most DC-based movies, so that's a thing.

And I resolve never, ever, to watch the film for The Killing Joke. Apparently it was actively booed at SDCC.

@Rina, I might see Star Trek Beyond this week with friends from work.

I really hated Into Darkness though. Everything about it I did not like. Scotty was funny though.

I'm hearing that ST Beyond is way more "Trek" than either of the first two movies. Into Darkness was terrible in any case.

I saw Star Trek a couple days ago. It was awesome. There were a couple of plotholes here and there, but the character interactions were funny and charming, and the whole movie just looked really good.

@ Blackkitty

Hey! ^^ That's really kind of you! Thanks for asking! (^_^)v
Well... I'm not happy with the current developments, of course, but I'm okay.
Sooner or later that had to happen, I guess...

How are you holding up on your end? ;)

@ Rina

Wow, that sounds nasty... Who would do something like that...? o_O
I don't know... I mean, it's your life, so you have to decide for yourself. I would probably just act normal around them but I definitely wouldn't try to get closer to them any time soon...
Doesn't sound like someone you'd wanna be close with to me...
Not nice... Really sorry to hear that happened.

@Rina Again, agreed with Anon. It just seems like a very mean thing to do. Sorry to hear what happened.

@Blackkitty Is Дед Мороз a thing in Bulgaria? I know that it's orthodox just like your country, but I didn't know that it was a thing outside Russia/Ukraine/Belarus.

Well, what about an alternative: special buses for the elderly. Both sides would be happy.

Only ~780 000 people inside of the city, but around 8 million in the proximity of 100 km, 10 million tourists every year and around 40 universities inside of it. In short, the number of residents itself doesn't sound as bad as it is in reality.

Air tends to go as bad as this

Mainly in winter/fall tho. Since it;s the middle of the summer, no one is using coal to heat up their houses.

Well, perhaps they do. I can imagine it being hard to get used to my character for some of my friends tho..

I cannot be the only person in this thread that doesn't care about cinema at all V:
