Well, I don't think she sleeping with Nami or why should lower your expectations, I think you should wait to see what she's going to do after they do it, like how she will act with Sumin, if she'll rub it in her face or something then I agree with you.
People on facebook are dumb then, that's not how ship naming works, you don't make random names for each ship, you name them using a point they all have in common, in this case we're using their hair colors, Blonde is because of people who want Sumin end up with Sungji, Blue because of those who want Seju end up with Nami, and so on.

Okay.

What I noticed with the years in shipping, is that they pretty much always follow a pattern since they're all from the same serie, one of the most common way of naming ships is mixing both names, like Touhou for example, Reimu x Yukari or YukaReimu Marisa x Alice or MariAri, you can see all the pairings here, using a mix of names is the most basic naming that can be used, when it's about with who they want the main character to end up with, sometimes they name it after the love interest or after some detail of the love interest, like how we're doing here with the hair, in other series they create some more fancy or symbolic names, I remember seeing that for Precure, don't remember which one, pretty much anything is valid, I can't really say that they're wrong, but if you go see any big dedicated fandom like Touhou, Precure, Kantai and so on, they always follow a pattern, so if Sumin x Sungji is Team Leader, Seju x Sumin should be Team President, the problem in that is, how to name Seju x Nami? That's why hair color is more practical.
Just you know, Team Rainbow and Green are more like joke teams that I made, don't really need to take them serious, if you want you can show to people the names we use here, maybe even give them link of our discussion too.

Got it. :)
Oh, in the last panel of this chapter, who said those words? I don't think it's Nami.

Seju x Nami would be Team Director. But anything more intricate than those 3 ships (like what we're calling Team Black) would lose its charm.

Quite sure it's Nami.

Nice name, but yeah, more than three names won't work, it's another reason why hair color works better I guess?

See what I meant? Just by having their name for Sumin x Sungji, Team Leader, we easily created name for Seju x Sumin and Seju x Nami, Team President and Director, better than the names they had, that's how a real dedicated fandom works, that's why real yuri discussions are only on Dynasty.

Its written in an informal tone so it was Nami because Nami always talks informally and Seju always speaks to her formally.
While bringing up the informal and formal thing.. it's been bothering me that Sumin still talks to Sungji in the formal tone. Well she's been using half half in recent chapters but I wish they would start talking informally to eachother :( I mean it doesn't really matter to English readers I guess because that stuff is dropped in translation since there's no such thing for English.. but yeah. Sumin spoke to the red head informally so she should to sungji too! Especially now that they're dating and have grown closer.
For those who don't know, the Korean culture has two ways of speaking. In most cases you always speak formally to anyone older than you, or to people you are not so close to/just met. If two people end up dating they usually eventually end up dropping the formal speak which normally indicates their level of closeness. It's not really a huge deal but I find it nice when Sumin drops the formal speak ^ ^ might be hard for Sungji to drop it suddenly though since she's 10 years younger and not to mention sumin is still her manager at work lol. Oh well

Talking with colors is easier in all respects in my opinion lol. At this point I keep track of the names pretty well, but I'm in an insomniac haze at the moment and I had to go a few posts back and fix what I said because I called Sungji Seju and some other mistake. I have a couple friends that I got into WDTFS and they'll talk about it with me, but we don't even bother with the actual names. It's just blonde, black, pink, blue, redhead. The only time we've broken from hair colors is for the non-yuri characters, and bathtub girl (who is also blonde, and whose only claim to fame in this manhwa is being in a bathtub with Sumin).

Omg LOL 'bathtub girl' ..ahahahaha

Thanks for this. I really like learning about cultural notes. Really helps get a fuller picture. Please let us know as Sumin's language changes (well, if it does) :). This seems like it would be sooooo difficult for Sungji to change lol. I'll be giddy if she utters anything other than Teamjangnim at any point in the rest of the story.
And there is -ah for lovers, right?

No problem ^ ^ and I will!
As for Sungji, yeah.. it would seem a little odd haha.. there actually was ooooneee time where she called Sumin 'jagiya' which is something similar to 'darling'. My eyes went O.O cause I was surprised (as was sumin hhahahh) but she just had to go and say that calling her team leader is probably better .. boo :(

Ah is normally added after a name to someone close to you like a friend (lover too) or someone younger that you don't speak formally to. For example if I were Sungjis friend I'd say 'Sungji-ah' and if I were her co worker for example, I'd say 'Sungji -ssi'.

Yes I remember this moment ^^ very funny. While I have you on the topic. Once it was translated, it seems like Sumin says "I love you" twice to Sungji in chapter 43, but I thought it looked like two different phrases in Korean. What's the difference? And if there's multiple ways does Sungji always use the same one for Sumin?

Are "Sungji-ah" and "Sungji" same? They both can be used to call people who are younger or same ages as us or our friends. Is there bit different between them?
When you are directly calling out her name to her you would say Sungji-ah ~
When you are speaking about her to someone else for instance, you would just say Sungji.
However , saying 'ssi' works for both scenarios . Whether you are calling out their name or talking to someone about them.
Hope this makes sense!

The first time she said it regularly and the second was the formal tone. 'Sarang-hae' vs 'Sarang-hae yo'. Usually if you add a 'yo' to the end of a sentence it becomes formal xD There's no difference in the meaning though, formal or not :) (I know Japanese has daisuki vs ai shiteru, with both meaning I love you but ai shiteru having a stronger meaning of love. There's nothing like that for korean though, saranghae is the only way of saying I love you. )
Sungji used the formal way of saying it because she talks to sumin formally . Sumin used both, because as I mentioned she tends to drop the formal speak sometimes.. which I like hehe.
Overall, I suppose just saying 'saranghae' without the 'yo' sounds more intimate though since it seems like they are closer that way.. but yeah it doesn't really matter.
Sorry if it's confusing, I'm terrible at explaining things T_T
And @sia no problem! (sorry I don't know how to bold lool)
I'm glad to answer any questions you guys have :) although my explanations are terrible lol.

Yeah dynasty went down for a bit for some reason and I started snooping around through the Korean versions and once I really bothered to look, it's pretty clear that is there's a 요 at the end, it's formal speech lol.

Lol give yourself some more credit ;) You're more clear than you think you are.
omg, I wonder what Seju did... But the red-head already had a fiance? what could Seju have possibly done about that? I don't get it. I think Sumin might react a bit weird to Seju sleeping with Nami. Also she might feel betrayed by Nami because she might realize Nami liked Seju from the start. She might start being a bit cold to Sungji again and this time Sungji might get truly angry and draaamaaaaaa. Also Seju might start clinging onto Sumin again (I mean it seems to be going that direction?) and Sungji might confront her and be like "leave my gf alone!" or sth. And Seju might go all psycho and threaten to fire her but she won't actually do it or something... who knows?
Also dumb question buuuut, is Korean culture more about romance thaaan for example other Asian cultures? (sorry if this doesn't make sense). I just heard that while Japanese people are a bit shy about public displays of affection Korean are not so much. Also the romance series I have noticed seem really 'passionate'? ^-^''

I don't know if Nami is really a good friend of Sumin? maybe, Nami wants to end Sumin and Seju relationship because she knows that Seju will try to jeopardize every relationship Sumin will have. Nami only really get involved when she saw that Sungji could be Sumin's you know "the one/only hope" or she does have a really dark motive for her actions. Nami have a grim face/expression when she saw Seju possibly for the first time. indicating that she knows Seju won't be good for Sumin because of Seju's family. but I can't help but feel bad for Seju. I wonder if Seju jeopardize every relationship Sumin have. cause there's just one situation that was given. though I don't think Seju is that evil. so far. she didn't do anything yet to Sungji or she's just waiting for a chance to open. Sumin can't also let go of the past. almost all main character are f*cked up except Sungji.

In another translation, it was explained that Seju dropped the formal speech after Nammi pissed her off, so I think it's possible that it was Seju saying those words at the end of the chapter, agreeing to Nammi's suggestion. That's why I believe that they are going to do it, and I'm looking forward to seeing the midget's reaction to that xD.
Also, about who will be top or bottom, In my opinion, Seju is a natural bottom, she's just too passive. But I think she could turn top when doing it with Nammi, either because of hate or because she doesn't want to be dominated by Nammi.
Oh, by the way, I'm just really hoping that this is not the end of the second arc, because the last time they left us hanging with Seju showing up at Sumin's apartment when she was with Sungji. If it is though, it means that we will have to wait for about a month for the continuation...

I don't think Seju sabotages all of Sumin's relationships after her. Sumin's relationship ends mostly because of her, like her relationship with the lawyer. Her relationship with the redhead was doomed to fail anyway since she was two-timing her, and she was the other person.

maybe you're right. I don't know lol. since so far Seju didn't do anything to Sungji. well, mainly because Sumin will get angry at her. sadly, I can't see Seju having a good ending. if only Sumin could be split into two. Sumin only had relationships that won't work. just like what Seju said and Seju is taking advantage of it. but what will Seju do? when Sumin find someone like Sungji. that could easily will be Sumin's way of letting go of her completely.

really?! >< I want to see more Sungji x Sumin! I can't wait that long! Oh well... I have a lot of deadlines in April anyway so maybe it's good >.>
kami-sama
That's basically the question we're all asking, what is Seju going to do now that Sumin got Sungji. And I think we will find out about it soon, well hopefully. To let go of Seju completely, in my opinion Sumin must first address her issues with Seju properly and conclude everything, once and for all, because until know, all Sumin's doing is running away from it. Before that is done, I don't think she'll be able to move on. The same goes for Seju. All this time Seju's been left hanging in uncertainty because of Sumin's behaviour where she always comes back to her every time her relationship fails. They need to settle things once and for all for them both to move on.
My question is, does Nami want to end Sumin and Seju's relationship because she likes Seju or because she doesn't think Seju is good for Sumin and wants to end that relationship for good?
I'm thinking Seju might have played some part in Sumins other relationships, not just with the redhead. I mean she might not have but I think anything is possible XD
I'm waiting for the chapter that Sumin finally addresses her issues with Seju and when Sungji learns about Sumins past with Seju.
Hopefully we won't have to wait a month for the next chapter D: it will be so hard to wait lol
