Of course it's relevant, because when you stop and think about the character and how they had a het ending, you will finally understand that the character was never gay, and you fell in a homo trap, like in Inu Boku xx something that supposedly had a lesbian character that had het ending, never read a series with a "gay" character until it's finished, so you can know if that character really is gay or just another homo trap, don't matter if the mangaka had good works, homo trap is one of the marks of a shitty japanese writter.

When you need het goggles to see it, you've right to be pissed.

You don't need het googles a lot of times, just need to take away the yuri googles, like some series that we love, like K-on for example, technically they're not gay, Yuyushiki too, Pretty Cure, most series that stay in subtext you can argue they're all het and we can't complain if eventually one have het ending, but of course if they make a serie full of subtext and you can't be sure if they're gay or not and it ends with het making all ambiguity of their sexuallity useless, that's nothing more than shitty writting using subtext to attract more fans, and that is what we have the right to complain and be pissed about, those pathetic homo baits and traps, like Nanoha, expect het ending in it any moment now! Same for Madoka!

But near as I can tell we were talking about a character who was defined by her obsession with another women, who wound up with a guy just because he liked her.

But it had some signals that she liked him too, and like I said before, Yachiyo liked that woman only because she saved her in school, nothing more than that, it was never said that she liked womans or anything like that, don't forget that it's a comedy, it was never going to take her "love" seriously, which take us back to shitty writting that japanese loves to use with gay characters, they're not "real" gay unless it said and don't end in het, when it comes to gay characters, never trust what they say and wait until the serie is over, don't expect what almost never happened before with other series.

And then the author slapped me in the face with that pregnant happy lesbian, though it's not explicitly stated she has a man, I guess it's implied and that made me sad.

I guess in my headcanon, she's going to cheat on him with women, but still...

Probably, it's actually pretty good if you don't watch for the yuri, Mimi is pretty much a lesbian as she even have a girlfriend and lesbian orgy, but Rin is bi and still love a man from her last, they're probably friends with benefit, but never really a couple.

But yeah that's my point, imagine a normal manga/anime (let's say Naruto or Bleach) where suddenly half way through some evil villain suddenly managed to turn every evidently straight male character into gay. There probably will be an outrage across the media and internet. But somehow "lesbian characters turned out to be straight/ bi-" are normal
