Yeah, Symphogear is as gay as ever. Aside from the aforementioned HibiMiku, Kirika and Shirabe seem to be dating and there was some... interesting dialogue between Tsubasa and Chris. And it was just a fun episode in general. Probably the second-best premiere so far

idk if it's going to be Chris & Tsubasa or Tsubasa & Maria though...I rather prefer the former, but they barely got any screen time together first epi.

Only watched Symphogear S1, should i go for S2 and into S3? Like i think the S1 anime was decent, but the music was kinda suck.

Anyway into this coming season. So any yuri, yuri subtext, wincest, wincest subtext coming up?

Himouto, i already read the manga (which is quite good) so probably will only watch if it's significantly better. Same to Gakkou Gurashi. Heard the anime is also coming out? (will definitely rewatch ep 1 through for that moment)

Alright, i watched Dragon Ball Super with the worst attitude possible but it wasn't too bad really, the visual quality is just as boring as i expected but i was sure the script would be cringy as hell like the 2 movies but it turned out alright
Gotta wait to see how the series will be handled when it goes full throttle

Rokka no Yuusha is light novel as fuck in writing but it's got solid direction and some neat aesthetic stuff. Unexpected pick up #1 unless that dries up in the next couple episodes.

I should maybe clarify that "injecting the 90s" and "didn't like it" are not necessarily connected statements, though my post was ambiguous. Parasyte was very 90s too and pretty good (tho it got incredibly heavy-handed). The main thing that bothered me in UtT were the comedy bits in every serious scene, because I didn't think they were funny. At all.

And I'd agree that Ushio and Tora is 90s in a bad way: It's at the point in the cycle where it's clearly old, but not old enough that the things it's doing seem new. Which is to say that it's constantly throwing jokes at us that we've all seen dozens of times before

There's also the fact that at least the first episode is not an update of the original series, but a scene-by-scene remake with better animation. I thought it was fun and a good shot of nostalgia, though.
