In the future please provide more context and sources. This ties into the whole social media drama game of telephone that's meant to rally pitchfork mobs and make people stop supporting a series, and it's always awful, especially with how common it is with Yuri and adjacent series.

I had to look into this and it seems there's way more to this situation than what you're saying. This Reddit post and the comments seem to imply the light novel adaption MIGHT have issues but the writer for that might have only issues with a specific Yuri series. There seems to be a whole issue of translation, context, and people running with narratives with this whole situation. It also means the anime could still entirely be Yuri.

The person they commissioned to do a LN adaptation is not writing the anime so who cares? I kind of think it's insane to expect everyone who works on a yuri to be a diehard fan and I'm sick of people doomposting every time something like this comes up.
