It's great to see more of this ship. Given the author's prior work, I fear that the canon ending for these two will probably be bittersweet or ambiguous, if not outright grim.

And by "ambiguous" I don't mean "are they in a relationship or aren't they," I mean "are they alive/still themselves/still human (for Emilyko)/still sane."
