The yuri is always appreciated but I love LOVE everything involving the murder investigation. The bleak ending reminded me of old Law and Order.

Like, if Lin knew Li Shiping were going to murder Ding Xue, because he was Sun Xiangming's (her girlfriend) murderer, why did Lin intervened by killing Li in the first place? Did she feel sympathetic towards Li and didn't want her to be sentenced over a passional crime?

There have been a lot of hints that Lin moonlights as a vigilante, like those parkour and hand-to-hand skills definitely did not come from a mortician's training manual. Also, Song already knows about this, having recognizing Lin's perfume during the fight (to be fair to Lin, it takes a special kind of neurodivergence to pay attention to perfumes in melee).

Chapters 12 and 13 are in the wrong order.
