The last two arcs sure soured me on Aot and the author in general, even without the yumikuri kick in the face. A lot of it felt borderline sociopathic and cruel for the sake of it.

Agreed, I don’t think I would ever want to see anything else by the AOT author, especially with how I’m skeptical of his views due to how he handled varied aspects of AOT in general.
