The hot, rich ex who's still obsessed years after the breakup is such a common manhwa character, I'm tickled to see her show up here as well.
I associate that with What Does the Fox Say You but yeah that might be a manhwa thing in general
Also it is in Love doctor (Cha Yoon's ex), Lilith (Haerim) and yeah that pretty much all I think off :P
Wasn’t that the case with Octave (the music one)? Also Pulse (the Thai one).
Also The Drunken Boss. And subverted in We Never Broke Up where she’s the protagonist.
Whenever someone says manhwa is more “realistic” (because it’s building off soapy K-drama rather than shoujo romcom), I wonder where my heiress ex-girlfriend is.
Drunken Boss is a subversion since the main character is rich and her ex isn't.
I tend to think manhwa can sometimes be more realistic because high school/college aged characters are dating like real people and not dying of embarrassment because they held hands, like they actually have sex casually sometimes. The whole chaebol aspect is just as ridiculous as the ojou-sama thing in manga.
