To put it bluntly, that's a political cartoons peddling soft genocide denial and slavery apologia dressed up as cutesy yuri. There is an extensive and ongoing history of Indigenous women being forced into slavery, raped, and/or murdered by colonizers and their descendents while their cultures were/are actively suppressed. It's not any different from drawing comfort women fawning over a woman in IAJF uniform or Jewish women fawning over a woman in a Nazi uniform and calling it a "joke". Centurii can draw whatever, but the only reason to advocate sharing it here is to see if hate speech can be smuggled in if it's cutesy/jokey/yuri enough.

For me at least the Holocaust one I mentioned in a previous comment is the main one that comes to mind, though he has a lot of weird works with hidden details, and sometimes those details have fucked up implications. He'll also do political and racial stuff. A lot of his works uploaded here are on the tamer end, but you do have one like this https://dynasty-scans.com/images/33496?tag_id=22650 - and as far as I'm reading it the "punchline" is rape.

Also ah that's what I was thinking of as well, in the follow up (Next) image you have user "DeadlyCookie98" mentioning that it was Snegovski who drew nazi Miku.

It's unfortunate because once in awhile these artists will make something I like, generally limited to what's uploaded on Dynasty already, but then do weird stuff and it's just...damn.

Being also one myself, I can tell that they came from the recent breed of teenage boys who grew up on American culture war RW slop online and think that saying the N-word is funny. I know because I almost fell down that same pipeline myself but had to see boys my age around me who did.

It's not surprising really, Filipinos never experienced living with black people and other oppressed folks. For us, it's either all in the distant past (our history of colonization) or far away from us (in western melting pot countries). So when bigots online package racism inside "jokes" and "dark humor", we eat it all up without much thought. And that's not even mentioning how racist we can be towards black people and other nationalities to begin with, with slurs and all.

Considering all that cultural context and certain stuff Centurii posts... I simply advise DS to steer clear from their stuff. Seriously, it's really not worth it giving them any more attention.

Thank you for your insight, it's interesting to hear your perspective on these artists. I've seen a little bit of the impact of American culture war on other countries, and it really sucks to see the hate seeping out of the country that I live in and how it's making people around the world more hateful. It really feels like America and especially it's current state is a very bad influence on the world.

I also think you make a good point with your last sentence, that DS as a community doesn't have to give certain artists more attention and visibility.

The issue with "rage-baiting" and "shit-posting" via racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and so forth is that they're still being that thing. A homophobic "joke" is still homophobic, a racist "joke" is still racist, and so on.

The colonization happened, and both Mexico and the Philippines as we know them wouldn't be here without them, yeah, the process hurt a lot of people but it happened and we can't close our eyes and pretend it didn't happen, we have to face it head on and learn from it and there is not better way to do it than by turning it into something fun, interesting and easily digestible for everyone. I know for a fact that a lot of people have learned more history from Centurii's comics than in history class. So just chill.

Look how I never had to turn to artists like Centurii (who downplays colonization and rape and thinks saying the N-word is funny) to learn about history. I see you missed the part where I mentioned history is my dayjob, is it because I'm well informed about the history of Mexico's colonization that I find Centurii's comic funny. The union of Spanish colonizers with indigenous women is why Mexico is such a culturally diverse country, and denying it or refusing to acknowledge it is denying our very existence.

I'd say though that it's totally not the case at all with Spanish colonization of the Philippines. Our history paints a very grim picture of how indigenous peoples and especially women here were treated by the Spanish. Notice how Philippines is not a Spanish-speaking country unlike others. It's because of how lowly we "indios" were treated that only the lucky privileged few got proper education.

That's why to us Filipinos whose brains weren't fucked by American culture war slop, Centurii's comic comes off as disgusting and offensive.
