
^^ I wrote about that under different image, but sadly it's extremely common even in games/anime/movies etc. where male characters are present, even when "faceless male" isn't used, male character in doujins are always depicted Tate-like, as absolute dickheads, even when canonically they are different and female characters are completely sandblasted to just being "submissive" and obsessed with a guy.
This obviously also happen in yuri works, both all-age and R18, but never on that scale. For some reason that massive changes in personalities bother me even in R18 material where "plot" matter more than plot.
But calling characters "our", especially in not really "yuri" work, made this rant a little unhinged, even when this frustrating me too.
On the other note: It's interesting how much more often I see people getting angry how people are making "canonically straight" (or implied straight - because they take all character as straight "as most are in real world") yuri/yaoi, that have no problem making gay (especially lesbian) characters getting railed. And I don't even have to use Goomba fallacy, because that's often the same people.
