Pretty thoughtful first chapter. Yes it's basically like that. It's all protecting minority groups and advocating for minority rights until it's actually affecting oneself, then it turns ugly, hypocrisy and hysterical. I've seen that tendency in many places (not just in East Asia).

Cute, fluffy, the confession was a pretty sudden for my tastes. The societal perceptions of being gay are so rare to see in yuri (which is nice in its way).

What? She punched the guy that was defending her instead of the girls that outed her to the whole school? What a stupid girl, I already hate this whole manga.

"She's so pitiful" does not sound like the start of a good defense.

Also "she can't defend herself so I have to protect her" is kinda a classical misogynistic trope.

If one's to defend a gay person they can start with "what the hell do you think you're doing" or "what does one's sexuality have to do with you" or maybe even "to expand your argument ("she's a les so she must be secretly lusting after us in the locker room" in the comic) a little, do you lust after every person of opposite gender you met on the street?", not... whatever this shit is.
