God, so much nostalgia. I'm from Vietnam, a socialist country which has the same system with China (we're neighbours, duh).
Even though most of my education in this kinda school illustrated in the manga was in the 2000s (I'm 22), most of the customs are exactly the same. I had to wear the red neckerchief from Year 2 to Year 9. Saluted the flag every Monday, singing the national anthem. Our classes also competed and the best ones got the red flag, every freaking week, lol.
I have my big sis and big bro, who went through the exact period (1990s), they may find this manhua's depictions even more familiar.

I don't know what I expected going into this, but it certainly wasn't anything this intense. It was all I could think about at work today.

As far as developments this chapter, I think the one with Lanlan might end up being the most important. She's needed a break for quite a while (nasty fatass is nasty), and I think her former (current?) lover(?) will be an important part of the assessment committee. She's going to get an interesting story tonight, for sure, and I recall her walking around earlier when she overheard talk of the "bomb". Is there any more Chaos Eve, or will the next one be Dawn of the Final Day?

This is getting good. I wonder what the revolution will ultimately be like...

Well that went super gay out of nowhere.

I normally don't like and don't read Chinese or Korean manga. But this manga is an exception. Hua is simply too much like a boss. Especially the way she deal with her harem.

Other plot and other characters are interesting too. For example the arc with Hua's brother on the bus. Or the athletic meets.

My only major complaints are, the rapist counselor and that 5-4 class smartass is too much of a distraction. I know they are there for the drama, but the wait to see their ass being handled to them is distracting me too much from my yuri...

(Comeon, now you know Hong won't be pregnant if you kiss her, what are you waiting for Hua!?!?!)

Chapter 13 is my favorite in this comedy manga. All Hail Empress Her Majesty.

I like it as of chapter 44, but the bit at the end, and comments made by the translator have me wondering if I should continue this.

With Ch.53, I suspect Hua was using the Valiant Eight as a feint in this case. There's no way her gambit was that simple.

Great story and all, but the more I read it the more I think it'll be like Twin Spica, which is to say the longer it goes on the more ways the author will try to make you depressed.

Was that a spoiler from author in the last page?

This manga is SO good. I'm really overwhelmed for it.
Waiting with impatience how it will continue.... this rebellion are incredible! >.<

I am not particularly aware of Chinese history, but class 5-3's 'empirehood' makes me think that Hua's story is an allegory of some major stages of China's historical development, especially after Ming's memory where he gets told not to hope for well-being while in separate countries. I thought that 5-3's separation now is going to motivate the whole 'country's people' to struggle for unity which they, well, definitely settled for and are willing now to overcome every which obstacle (foreign governments) in the way of nation's reunion. Oh and young people like Hua, Hong, Ming and the others represent a new generation which will grow up in willingness to bring a country's reneissance.

The 5-4(?) president better back away from what he's doing to Hong or I WILL Fanfiction him!
