This is actually kind of nice. She didn't end up in space, and even if she went insane, at least she has the company of her own mind-Mokou (though I believe Mokou is totally still alive. I kind of have to or my heart will shatter.)

I agree with this, and I don't think the story was "depressing as fuck" (aside from the world ending and everyone else being dead, but hey, eternal Mokou for Kaguya!).

Good ending for a dark story

I don't think it was depressing, as long as you don't think too much after you read it.

Kaguya regenerated from the hand, but Mokou didn't. I feel like it really was a hallucination.

This is a rather unique art style. Looks like a mix of Dowman Sayman and Tim Burton

The sequence on pages 24-25 is just exquisite, but I quite prefer the rendition in the original Pixiv post. Sliding the climax to its own page just really enhances the effect. Makes my spine tingle everytime.

Honestly, considering how they are probably gonna live for a millions of billions of years more and some more beyond the time that they are in, having the two of them together would be the only way they can see through all of this without losing it. I would think that from this logic, it would be make sense to assume that Eirin would never actually make only one medicine to end immortality, rather it would be either two or none, since the one that actually doesn't take it would be condemned to a lifetime of suffering.

At least that is what I like to believe was what the ending was leading up to.

But damn... this was a beautiful story... (sad sobbing)
