Back in CN's 1st anniversary stream last year, the devs teased these upcoming ops.
Och, thanks. Yea, now that you mention, I do remember those posters and people mentioning it few times, but I wasn't aware/didn't remember they were supposed to be future operators.
With CC ending, I decided to check my support usage. Suzuran is to be expected. Eunectes somewhat surprising. But Iris?! Wow, congrats to those two people. I had checked last time too and I was surprised at how much Eunectes gets used in CC.
Wow, awesome! My support was barely used this time, but half of it might be cos I changed it twice during event. I did change it mostly cos it wasn't being used though.
I really tried, but couldn't max risk yesterday. I was able to reach W and even kill her, but 9 times out of 10, she'd take half my team with her, because my setup was quite rng heavy and in rare situations when I did pull it off, I wasn't able to deal with mobs spawning at the end. Have to say killing W with W was pretty fun though. W betraying even herself!
On the other hand last daily was pretty easy. Didn't take too long to figure out setup for ballistas.
Now I'm actually hyped for new event!

Dusk in 62 rolls and not even the first 6 star. The first was off banner lol but then from a single roll, Saga! I still have 100+ rolls for the R6S collab so I'm grateful.

I wasn't really going to roll on it. Nian was literally first banner I rolled on when I started, spend everything and game spooked me twice and gave Aak from rate up instead, so I was really salty and since now I learned how to play better and don't rely on defenders anymore, I don't even really need Nian, so I was telling myself that I don't care about her anymore. Mr. Nothing seemed like really bad operator and I didn't really care that much about Saga/Dusk.
But I was feeling down and I really wanted something nice happening to me and some rush of serotonin, so I started rolling. And I did skipped Nian's rerun banner since I figured, she'll be in this banner as well and is more likely to show up if you get spook, and since rate up hates me, I'll probably get spooked with her easily. So rolling this banner to potentially get both limited operators in 1 go seemed like much better idea. Got Saga in first 30 rolls. Of course the 6 star I care the least about. Then in my 110 roll I got 2 6 stars. If I got both sisters there, it'd be perfect and ideal place to end. Got Hokusai as first and then second was... CEOBE SPOOK. Like I use her a lot and -1DP will come in handy, but c'mon game >.> I really just want freaking Nian and you're cucking me second time...
Ironically, if I could add my rolls from her first banner I'd have 300 rolls already and could just buy her. Well rolled everything I had, am at around 200 rolls and got another copy of dusk. I'll roll daily rolls now and if I won't get spooked by end of event I'll just roll till 300 and buy her. Doesn't help that I also bought guarantee 6 star roll. Value wise it was probably the best to pick Weedy/Thorns/Magellan one, but I'd probably not use them in long time, so I went for Schwarz/Phantom/Suzuran one. I really hoped I'll just get Schwarz, maybe 2 6 stars, but ended up with Phantom, which is nice, if I actually finally invested in him...
Either way, got Nightmare, Astesia, Leizi, 2 Greythroat, Ayascarpe, Cliffheart, Warfarin, Sora, 8-9 Mr. Nothing and first copy of Aosta and Leonhardt. Also maxed out Pinecone. I was salty at first, but after using them I have to say, I really like Dusk animations, I like her skills, especially since I liked Gitano's skill and she is voiced by Hokusai Nogami Yukana. Mr. Nothing grown on me, I kinda like his flamboyant personality as well as his design and he isn't actually that bad, so I don't mind I max pot him. And Saga is good doggo and spamming her S2 is fun.
I skipped story for now (and will probably read it never) to clear stages and set up my trust rock farm so I can forget about event until next week challenge stages open. I like new gimmick and enemies.
Also I like that they finally added option to pick avatar, but sadly selection is very limited. Wish it was mentioned somewhere though (unless it was and I missed it). Only noticed, because I saw some people had them, so I checked my profile.

I learned after buying the first one last year... wanted to try for Exusiai... then she ended up in the cert shop a few months later...
New gimmick seems fine for now but I wonder how they'll ramp up the difficulty for EX stages. Also that boss thing wow! I know it's only a "painting" but fighting a monster boss in Arknights... really sets up the Abyssal bosses in the future. I really do appreciate how far we've come from fighting Reunion mobs to this.

Finally got off my lazy ass and cleared Lava Had Never Seen Such Bullshit: The Event. Good stuff. I think my favourite bits were Kroos being openly amused by Nothing's BS, Saga managing to out-weird Dusk and Dusk roasting Nian's outfit. Also liked how you can just hear the smirk in Nian's lines even without voice acting. :P

In terms of Mora, we have no Mora pulls I'm now at 93. Highlights so far are Dusk, pot 4 Nothing, a random Mostima dupe (why.), April (yay, didn't have her before) and dupes for Beanstalk and Pinecone. No hungry doges yet tho.
Also pulled a Meteorite dupe from tagless Recruitment the other day which was pretty "huh." Already had her at max pot anyway but thanks for the Distinctions I suppose?
Can't say I much like Beach Ch'en's art but the other Ops in that event seem interesting. Plus unlike most Mudrock's swimsuit actually seems worth the OP.
Finally finished the event as well. Pretty fun - the stages were fairly easy, but the music was a definite highlight for me (it somehow reminds me of stuff I played in high school band class lol). Also I can kinda get why there's a fair amount of Dusk x Nian art now, though I like the idea of Dusk x Saga as well.
123 pulls now; I've gotten a Silverdaddy dupe, a Dusk dupe and suddenly Magallan of all things but still no loud shiba inus with naginatas.

Finally cleared EX stages and challenge modes. Really had to pay attention to event gimmicks especially EX-6. I wasn't understanding why roadblock placement was causing me to not block the enemies. I initially just wanted to set up an Ifrit lane. Only after watching a guide did I realize that roadblocks would make the enemies go through different color changing tiles. The roadblock placement had to be specific. EX-8 with the boss, "Free", wasn't as hard to figure out. I like that assuming they both have the same color, Cuora with shield can tank Free's shield burst. Still cheesed it with Surtr for the medal but for the challenge, I brought out THICC snek to 1v1 the boss. I just love seeing Eunectes in action.
While I do like shipping dragon incest, my impression of Nian x Dusk was mostly sibling banter. Cute sibling banter but I couldn't look past simple platonic sibling relationship. Probably cause they remind of a pair of dragon vtubers who are also siblings and have that similar bickering lol. I still prefer Nian x Lava. This artst just has a lot of it.
I don't even know if I'll have time to finish the EX stages or R6 collab for that matter. I've done a bit of auto farm at least, almost clear shop.

Didn't really get any other 5 stars outside of several few more Nothings (I think, it was a while, so I might had 1-2 more spooks, but don't remember).

I barely managed to do normal version, but thanks to bonus blocks in CM, I couldn't repeat my strat, so I decided to fuck it and it was only stage I used guide for. I wasn't happy I had to, but I value my sanity more. Turns out this stage is BS and the hard part is figuring out the pattern of blocks and once you do, it's easy af, because they'll change color exactly so you can block them and then suddenly this stage has no challenge whatsoever. 10/10 design. Made only to annoy us. Beat other stages without much problem. Really liked the way I beat EX-8. Easily did it without breaking shield, though I wasn't going out of my way to do it.

RNG absolutely hated me. With my first free 10 roll I got Clifheart. Then with my second free roll I got freaking Skadi spook. Wasn't going to roll, but then after thinking about it I thought Ashe was pretty cool and at this point I kinda want to collect all operators, so I decided to throw some more rolls. Third 10 roll was Sesa. Forth was Saria spook. Fifth was Astesia. Sixth was FEater. Seventh was no 5 star and finally with Eight I got Ashe... When I rolled 300 rolls for Rosmontis and Dusk, I got rate up 5 star almost all the time, when I'd really wish I got spook by other 5 stars I don't have yet/don't have maxed out, meanwhile in 1 banner that I really wished to just get 1 copy and be done with, I keep getting spooked. Ninth was Asbestos, which nice, cos I don't have her yet, but also c'mon >.> Tenth was another Astesia <,< (and at this point I already have her max pot). Eleven was another Ashe and finally blitz. At this point I was rolling tickets/single rolls, so my count got a bit unclear, but I think either around twelve or thirteen 10 roll I finally got Frost and stopped. All in all I'm pretty happy with those rolls, but it was such pain to go through.

Idk. I beat all stages relatively easily. Had to spend few hours to figure out how to beat OD-8, but once I did, I had really reliable auto that just needed few tweaking. Farmed 100 grindstones from it easily (I also farmed 100 manganese ore). The Dead Space/Resident Evil vibe was pretty fresh and interesting. Beat all the challenge stages without too much of a problem too. Only one that was actually really hard, but I also appreciated the challenge, because it was a while since I really felt like anything was truly hard, was OD-EX-8. I really don't know what I'd do without Rosmontis there. Once I beat normal version, I was really worried about challenge mode condition, but lucky for me I didn't use any tile that was banned, so I thought I'll beat it relatively easy. Jokes on me, cos it took me few hours, cos apparently with my strat/levels there was a bit of rng and/or I had to execute everything perfectly. Actually my second and third run were really close. In second I defeated everything except for Glorious Evolution and then lost to its spam, before it died and in last it died and I almost won, but 1 fucking tumor split manage to slip by. After that for some reason my next dozen or so runs couldn't even reach finishing line and I'd die during third phase or sometimes even before I reached it, hence why I felt like there was some rng at play. But alas managed to beat it in the end.
I really liked cooperative mode. People kept talking how it'll be troll fest and unless you have irl friends, beating it with randoms will be impossible, but that was far from true. I cleared everything alone and even when I kept failing and was being matched with the same person few times in a row, they'd never dodge me. I think someone left in middle only few times and most of times it was because they got completely destroyed. Only few of those were when it was going fine, but maybe they just got disconnected. Either way, I definitely didn't find 1 person that was actively trolling. Beat all stages at CM, top and bot and even went out of my way to beat all of them without any leaks. I played all top stages until I manage kill everything without letting any enemy go down.
Also something I literally noticed just now is that when you add all 4 Rainbow 6 operators to control center instead of working they'll rest, which is kinda BS. I asked support and apparently that's not bug, but working as intended, despite it not being written anywhere. Kinda defeats the point of having team with base skills that specifically are supposed to increase effectiveness when you have more members to stop working when you add all of them together. I have no idea who thought that turning CC into dormitory just when you add those 4 specific operators was good idea (and yes, any fifth operator you will add, will be resting as well).
Oh wow I just realized it's been so long since I posted here. I didn't even talk about how I found OD-EX stages easier. Maybe cause I had Blaze. Tried on my no-Blaze account and I found it more difficult.

Well at least you got Nian now. I hope your luck is better next time. That said, it did seem rate up was working for you seeing that you did get multiple copies of the rate up characters. Saga dupes are definitely welcome I think.

At first I was like "Wow Congrats!" but then I realized you haven't mentioned the 5 stars yet. Damn. Still, congrats anyway. Ash dupes feel useful for me since it makes her initial deployment much cheaper.

I was actually using the Saga + Warfarin strat. I dunno if it was due to my Saga not being max pot or max level (only level 60) but I couldn't replicate this video. I did my best attempt and it was basically my auto farm but there were still a few hiccups here and there. At least I also got to 100 grindstones and manganese. I read manganese would be more important since a possible Wolumonde rerun in the future means more chances to farm grindstone.

I wish I had more time to play it. I got to play with 1 friend and that was it. Couldn't find time to do it again. Was heavy in the Genshin grind at the time.

Yes, it is indeed intentional that they turn the command center into a 5th dorm. They even regen morale lol. I removed Ash to mastery her skill so they were losing morale. I put her back and when I checked in later, they were at full morale again lol.

Sorry for double post but a recent announcement confirms Darknights rerun which will happen tonight. This got me thinking maybe we'll follow the CN sched this time? Walk in the Dust (Passenger and Toddifons) and then Under Tides... This is supported by the next annihilation after the one we just got. The next map is based on Under Tides with its enemies and mechanics. Wouldn't make sense to have that without Under Tides first. That said, maybe Yostar can shuffle annihilation maps too so I dunno. Nothing is certain yet.
Speaking of the map we just got, I am glad it's way easier than the one before. My auto is way more reliable this time and Ash shines in this map against the UFOs.
