We don't actually know the details about the Flame Demon Incident and Ifrit's archives has a lot of garbled text indicating top secret info. So it's possible she was born from the experiment making her a science baby or she could have been a patient that was experimented on. We're not sure yet but because she's an infant in this fanart, it likely implies science baby.

I would much rather corporations pander to LGBTQ+ markets than pander to the other side. Sure it's motivated by money, but it's not as if that can't describe the motivations of a lot of people today.
