May or may not have spent everything I've saved up on E2ing all these operators. Ended up running out of LMD with Aak so now it's time to save up again. This is, BTW, with spending 20 OP on sanity refills for chip farming + red ticket farming. 3 million LMD down the drain... and all of my gold and super gold EXP records are gone... It's back to the life of a broke doctor again...

Also on another note I decided to do singles on the Hoshi/Aak banner to try and get Broca and I did it! Ended up unlocking the 130 unique operators achievement with him too so new HUGE medal. It's the same size as the ones you get from getting all medals in Pyrite and Suzuran event, so it's really big.

Probably gonna do the new chapter now since I wanted to finish E2ing Phantom at least before I touched it. Surely with my army of E2s the chapter should be a piece of cake? I even E2'ed Amiya for easy kill on Patriot.

Nice list of E2s there and congrats on the medal. Dunno if mastery 3 is needed with Blaze's skill 2 but man she's really broken. She's useful throughout Chapter 7. Btw, Amiya still needs help from a couple of mines to beat Patriot's first phase. I actually forgot he has some time of invulnerability at the start of his 2nd phase. Had to revise my strat so Amiya defeats his 1st phase earlier and then his invul will run out just as he steps on the killzone: Suzuran + Saria + Ceobe wombo combo. He still managed to get two spear throws out so RIP Jessica and 12F. Dodges didn't proc so they dead.

Gotta say Patriot's death hit me harder than FrostNova. Parents who outlive their children are just a direct hit to the feels for me especially since it happened TWICE to Patriot. Possibly more with his long life? That prophecy tho. I'm hyped for when we get there. Then Theresis makes an appearance. Seems they're planning something with Amiya or rather with Theresa's body? This is me speculating now but seems Theresa's power is in Amiya... or perhaps more?

Found this channel with videos of the Arknights story scenes. You can also read the stories ingame via the Archives tho it seems Darknights hasn't been added yet. I guess it will be added after the Darknights shop is gone too.

Thanks, though back when I intended to read old events, I found those myself. It's just I never got around to doing it. At least for events I'd play, normally I'd just read them as I was beating it and for Darknights I even actually read story before first stage, but then didn't really feel like reading and I needed to beat stages fast to not waste ap and things somehow ended up like that. As I said, I did read Darknights before it ended, so it was first event outside of Grani I actually read.

Tbf, Mudrock low-key feels more useful than Rosmontis since she's basically an unkillable tank who also does big damage. Rosmontis is a great sniper but she only hits ground units and doesn't fit on as many maps as Mudrock does. Honestly feels like all of the 6 stars that accompany a limited 6 star always feels slightly more useful i.e. with Weedy being an absolute unit of a pusher specialist and Mudrock being Hellagur but buffer, tankier, and can block more enemies.

Debatable. However, Aak is relatively more unique in his usefulness in contrast to Nian who can be replaced by any other Defender. Nian's unique uses are increasing block count (very niche) and being a more expensive Gravel (since her talent lets her nullify the damage from 3 attacks). The latter has use for high level CC in blocking certain dangerous enemies. Meanwhile Aak is a great buffing unit since he boosts damage and attack speed. No other unit can do this. The skill cool down and duration also gives the skill good uptime so it's quite spammable. Can even be combo'd with Liskarm. That said, one must take into account the friendly fire damage and so not every unit can benefit from it (unless Shining is used). He also needs to be aimed so he buffs the right unit. Also, in terms of raw attack boost, Warfarin is better but aiming her is arguably more tedious. But buffs can stack so having the buff army Aak, Warfarin and Sora can lead to some meme damage numbers. However, Nian being a defender at her most basic means she can be brought into any stage. Aak would require more planning and one doesn't necessarily need buffing units every time.

Tldr: They're both niche. I just think Nian is more replaceable than Aak but Nian has more general use.

Not really, he was more for the memes than anything else. Like, he's fun to mess around with but not necessarily "better" than Nian. That said, neither of them are really seen as essential or "meta" for super-hard content like very high risk Contingency Contract stuff.

AFAIK Kalt was an Operator already in the beta tests - and so utterly broken they apparently still haven't figured out how to rework her enough to be balanced in the actual release. To quote a comment on TakDes's overview of her, "Looking back at this, Kal'tsit basically summons Hellagur every 25 seconds."

I would say yes as in he's much more unique than Nian where for defenders, you pretty much just take Saria and Hoshi and that's it, at least for stuff like CC. People don't use Nian because her niche skills don't have any use when more firepower = better. With Aak, you can at least use him in boss stages where you want to demolish the boss with any ground unit you want (or ranged if you're using Shining).

It also doesn't help that using defenders isn't something you do endgame with the plethora of guard options that let you kill everyone before you need to worry about block count. Saria is pretty much the only defender you ever "need" since her kit is just a 2 in 1 deal with some added on traits that make her the best healing defender.

You never really want a "pure" class type for 6 stars because there's already that option in 3 and 4 stars so you always have to look at their additional skill and Nian's is just not useful since +1 block count sucks. Ironically though, she's great for buff army teams WITH Aak because she can do the same thing Shining does with her skill 3 and increase defense. The two roles people use for her are pretty much just defense booster or 6 star Gravel and it's usually better to just use Gravel since she's cheaper and you can redeploy her fast.

Yea. I remember that from story. Kalt was always being foreshadowed to be incredibly strong.

Honestly it's kinda funny how Kal is so OP but the other OP operators lore wise turn out to not live up to what they should be. Examples being Nian and Mostima, two people who should be monsters yet they both don't actually fight at their top form. On a side note, I wonder if Mostima has any relation to the species Nian is cause she also has a dragon-like behemoth in her E2 art. It's a physical manifestation too and not an aura thing like with Ch'en or Bagpipe.

There's so much mystery involving Mostima that I wish they'd do another event centered around her and Exusiai but focusing on Laterano and what exactly happened to turn her into a "fallen" angel.

Yeah that's not "theme animal" like usual, what with Mostima being a(n altered) Sankta - those guys get more abstract E2 BG arts anyway. It's something in those staves of hers; check the final paragraph in her Promotion Record:

Unfortunately that's it. No other way to increase her potential if that's your first copy. Maybe next anniv she's added to headhunting and/or recruitment. We'll see in this year's CN anniv if there are other plans for Savage.

I just got my second Top Operator tag and got Hoshiguma today. :)

Finally E2'ed all of my 6 stars. Only took an arm and a leg but at least that's over with. I now have a full screen of E2 6 stars :D

The next thing is to M3 at least one skill of all of them.........................

I did my first 400 kills of Annihilation: Chernobog tonight. Am able to autofarm it now with zero effort on my part.

Am still deciding who to use the ticket for the 6* on. I already have: Exusiai, Siege, W, Ifrit, and Hoshiguma. I like Skadi so she might be a good choice. Ch'en means she gets reunited with her girlfriend. Saria is good since I have both Silence and Ifrit but I already have Hoshiguma and Liskarm. Eyjafjalla is quite popular because of her low cost and the ability to act as an aoe caster. Mostima is pretty cute in my book so she's a good option... Regardless I'm not picking any male operators.

Too bad Suzuran isn't an option otherwise I might've picked her. :(

Saria is better because she can also function as a Medic and thus performing two roles. This makes her better than either Hoshi or Liskarm and why she is considered part of the "Big 5" overpowered ops. However, Saria does show up in the shop often.

Seems to be the best choice for you but I don't see any mention of Blaze? A lot of people like Rye here had mentioned, joke that the 6 star ticket is the Blaze pack. Blaze is considered the best choice if you don't have her.
