I agree with DY4Y here. A character saying "i'm not like that" or "but...im not into girls" or something like that is basically a staple of Yuri manga.
And Azusa wondering if Yui is actually into her meant the movie had to adress the fact that she acted kinda gay. Making Yui go from" Just you usual cudly moe slice of life protagonist" to "ambigously gay".
A friend who don't read much yuri and don't have permanently on yuri goggles like us saw the show and though "The usual kirara High-schooler acting like a little girl", but after seeing the movie, it was "Maybe Yui is into girls, when i think about it".
