i want to know what happen after the anime!! JO!!!

so i was watching the anime... and at the ending... I was like WTF! ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ︵ ┻━┻!

Because no one has stated it so far:

The manga is a built-up to the anime. But it kind of works both ways, you can read it after watching the anime or before. I was pleasantly surprised back then to find out there is the manga because I loved the characters and the art to bits.

The anime itself wasn't really good back then and hasn't aged well. It was pretty good with the sinister all-girls school episode, but whatever they tried to achieve with the ending is above my head. And then there was a surprise OVA four years later which wasn't really connected to the rest.

So does it cover the anime or it just has the same settings and different story?

It's a prequel.

I prefer the anime. Jo provides a better foil, antisocial as she is. The last third is terrible though, it makes no sense.

You know, the show wasn't all that great but I still wish we got a sequel..........................................

After re-reading this again for the fist time in almost a year i forgot how much i love this~
Jo and Meg's relationship is so nice. I've always liked the couple of the the lone-wolf with a gentle heart & the nice girl who enjoys the world. always reminds me of Konoka & Setsuna or Canaan & Maria~
The story is simple but i got the most enjoyment out of their interactions together. They clearly think the world out each other and both carry some "former weight on their backs". But as long as they have each other it dosen't matter.
And of courses you can never go wrong with the Girls with guns theme~
To bad i didn't enjoy the anime. Well i only watched the first couple of episodes back then... Maybe i should give it a second chance?
