You need to buy a range of IPs that is equivalent to 1/8th the amount you plan on downloading per day, which is something like 2million dollars easy.

Even if there is a problem there are always other hosting/sharing sites out there that you could download from. afaik both Nyaa and Baka-BT have quite a large selection to download from. If not, there's also the old school way which is XDCC it from a bot on IRC somewhere. Scanlators have a lot more ways to provide a way to download, and I'm pretty sure one of Dynasty's thing is "Don't rely on the reader for everything."

P.S. Most scanlation groups are very accommodating and I'm pretty sure they'd be willing to upload it somewhere suitable for people if you just ask.

Yes and again, I'm fairly sure most scanlators will be more than happy to reupload it somewhere if you ask. I personally have baidu cloud and if someone asked me about it I would have no problem reuploading it. Mega works in China afaik and it is one of the most commonly used hosting services.

Please don't say this because even the Chinese community has been uploading English releases as raws since some groups actually work from them. Places like Yamibo release most things faster than English groups anyway. Unless you are specifically looking for NSFW items in which case I want to say sadpanda is not blocked by GFW.

I literally don't understand why we're even having this conversation right now. Because nothing you've posted has contributed to the OP's problem and as far as I know the OP is most likely not behind GFW. So going to a scanlator's site is the perfect solution here for them.

Sure I only have to (and am able to) download the releases on confirming them having come out, but I must use a resumable download manager to get the complete several-MB package, which eats my 8-downloads quota up, fast, neat and clean.

So why do I have to find torrents/other sites, whose availabilities remain unconfirmed (and hardly can I find a working one, which is more important), when I can get a stable source to download them? I DO get the original packages for YP, lililicious, and others, but I CAN'T get them for other groups, when they are blocked, aside from downloading here from DR.

As of VeryCD, maybe you don't know that the links had been erased for long enough. Let alone whether the links are still resourceful. HTTP/FTP is always far more reliable than P2P.

Yamibo? Community? You certainly don't know (or so it seems to me) how it feels when you encounter this:

1. You want to read some comics to kill time, so you go searching it.
2. Search results leads you to some kind of ACG-related forums.
3. Texts appear on screen saying "you must reply to view the full post."
4. You sigh, register an account (likely with a email-verification), and go back to the page.
5. You get a notification, saying "you aren't authorized to reply - you have to spend some more time and spam some amount of threads, in order to rank up you account."
6. After some boring spamming, you finally get the priviledge to reply. 7A. Then you see another line of text, saying "you don't have enough virtual money/coins/score/whatever used in that forum to 'buy' the full post." 7B. Or, you finally get the images displayed, which turn out to be some pain-in-the-ass jp->en->ch second-handed translations, which are full of obvious mistakes, terrible choices of curly-scripted fonts, re-compressing noises, non-done SFXes in English, etc. (Especially annoying if you can read both English and Japanese. And since you don't seem like using a mothertongue of Chinese (again, at least to me), I'll skip the even-annoying swinging between traditional & simplified ch.)
7. The steps above should have taken up all your free time allocated for the reading. Oh! Time killed! Congratulations!

I'm still rather surprised that we're not blocked by the GFW and yet those we put on the reader are blocked (probably because Google owns it). A quick google search has revealed to me that IRC is blocked too.

We're not going to open the floodgates by increasing the limits, which unfortunately leaves avid viewers from GFW out to dry if they prefer to archive stuff. Are there download sites that aren't blocked by the GFW?
