Yep, 子 is both the "ko" in Shamiko/Yuuko's name and the kanji used in Japanese for the sign of the rat in the Chinese zodiac, since it's the year of the rat. That's why there's a rat on Momo's cheek.

i totally want a manga series with these two i think one of them is a futa? but still like cmon it still has Yuri in it to a degree? or the author can switch to yuri? i feel like these 2 character represent the authors love life? hmm?
^While I don't see how those two things are connected in the first place.... This artist does draw futa and the designs are pretty close, so it's not surprising people mix them up.
