I went back to Ch. 154 to remind me who Fuuka is. I noticed Yuri, on the one hand, only goes places if Kuro willl be there, but, on the other hand, has no compunction, after Asuka loses a pingpong match, in pointing out that Nemo and Kuro also lost and let the team down. She'll always say what she thinks, even if she has a crush on Tomoko. Fuuka never explained why, even though she was the outstanding member of team 3-5, she refused to take the trophy for first place (I think Mako took it).
Also, I think this series is shaping up into a straight up yuri love triangle between Yuri and Asuka fighting for Tomoko.
Especially with them both being overt about it in the next chapter. Yuri clearly hopes neither she nor Tomoko get into Aoyama and Asuka is clearly exulting over the fact that Tomoko is following her marching orders and making the kind of effort she never made before. Its also clear that if Tomoko and Asuka both end up at Aoyama they'll be girlfriends, period. Dunno if Yuri will be so out and open about it if Tomoko and her fail
WARNING:
THERE IS SOME VERY HEAVY SHIT CONCERNING ASUKA COMING DOWN IN CHAPTER 155
Agreed, although Asuka didn't bat an eye when Tomoko told her about sekuhara-suru-ing Yuu, so it's not exactly a shock. What shocked me was how openly Yuri and Asuka were fighting over Tomoko: Yuri hoping they fail together so she can have Tomoko for herself. Asuka even being willing to let Tomoko grab her breasts as long as she keeps her eye on going to Aoyama together. I wouldn't call it heavy but it's definitely straining the bounds of Subtext
.
