That aside, it kind of dragged, but the concept is interesting and it had some great bits (Alice♥)

I'm rather fond of this page/line (top left panel): http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/canni_chan#33. It gets at the heart of all of Yakumi Sarai's cannibalism stuff, I think. The act of eating itself is already, regardless, an act of inviting/accepting karma. The act of eating humans is simply an act of inviting/accepting exceptional karma.

To savour one's own misfortune through the act of eating is certainly the mark of an exceptional gourmet. I guess that the main effect of this story though is to underline the inefficiencies/compromise of Yukari's system. You cannot savour the consumption of a 'life' which is basically already dead. It is not incorrect to say that the existences of the youkai who abide by that (Gensoukyou's) system are painfully neutered.

Well, at least they are together now... inside Rumia's belly (and a bit in Wriggle's too).

You know, it's not really cannibalism. It's no different from us and our relationship with meat. We cultivate them and then kill them, package it in cans, and then eat it. If anything, it's just another part of the food chain.

If anything, yukari's ration system is more humane than our factory farming.
