I know Homu top cuts the faint-hearted haters of dark-haired female characters like the end of Rebellion, but you have to perform some really twisted psychosis level self-deluding to make yourself believe that there is any other way to realistically portray Mado/Homu.
The only places where I have seen it any different is in the cotton-candy fantasies of doujinshi's who hate Homaru.

Yamado Ako really is the savior of Madoka fanfiction. Most of Madoka fanfiction is complete rubbish, but she manages to create one masterpiece after another.

Homura cannot be categorized. Homura is many things, and half of them are contradictory.

Well, the person you're asking has posted comments on the majority of Maitake2's works insisting that "Homaru" would never behave that way, and further, that the belief that Homura isn't always topping is some kind of psychosis.

My personal belief, and take this with as many grains of salt as you need, is that devil!Homura would probably top, if only to keep up the thin veneer of control that she's holding on to by her fingernails. This does play into some of Maitake2's stuff, but there you go.
