Haven't played it myself yet, but I guess it was bound to become popular; you can play it in big groups but don't need a big table and long time setting it up. Maybe playing in big groups also helped to spread it faster?

Never played that Werewolf/Mafia game, but I'm sure it could be fun a few times and the author made the characters stay in character so that's always a huge plus.

The game is pretty fun, but it's for casual board gamers, at the same level as exploding kittens, Catan, and in the area of cards against humanity, though not quite that casual.

Super adorable! I loved PriPri so much! Wish there was more.
