Wow that's bloody rare to see this pairing though humor for the third part is a bit of a miss.

Yeah, I assume it's something that sadly gets lost in translation.

At least it ended with mouth to mouth feeding and mutual colds.

Not so much a translation thing than it is an obscure Japanese product thing. I'm sure someone can relate to being (friends with) someone who constantly pronounces stuff wrong.

Translation wise, the first part was tougher since it was all about not saying English words and there's not many well known alternatives to "stop" ("halt" is German, but I don't think many people know that to make the joke work). Thankfully I had an out that "sausage" isn't technically an English word.

the art is super cute... i love the personality and feel!!

i feel part 3 could have been made a bit more accessible by generalising it a bit? changing it from a specific brand to like, mami says 'lozangeles' instead of 'lozenges' or something? it carries the theme of it being a long, weird, easily confusable word. (the first comic is just a hell nightmare to translate even vaguely accurately so i def get keeping it the way it is.)

Let me guess: Sayaka's French is a representation of her being a Japanese native speaker who occasionally speaks in English (i.e. she was saying "Sutoppu, sutoppu!").

BTW, typo on page 6, last panel: "clea**r**ning".

Pretty much exactly that. I wanted to try and get through that part without relying on several TN notes. (FYI: In the original, Mami gets out of saying "sausage" by saying "nikubou" (literally meat stick).

Also whoops.
